Graduate Nursing Faculty, Full-time: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
The Harriet Rothkopf Heilbrunn School of Nursing at Long Island University, Brooklyn is located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, a fast-growing, revitalized financial and cultural center. With a strong focus on interprofessional education, the Brooklyn campus hosts a wide range of programs in health care, business, the arts, and sciences. The School of Nursing boasts a large, diverse student body and highly talented faculty. We are poised for significant growth in our CCNE-accredited undergraduate and graduate programs.
LIU has set a goal of achieving national recognition as a teaching and research university. The School of Nursing seeks highly qualified faculty to join us Full Time starting Fall 2019. Candidates will be considered at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor depending on experience.
Graduate faculty positions require current RN licensure and registration in New York State. All applicants should possess strong clinical expertise in their area of specialization. A minimum two years prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.
We are particularly interested in candidates to teach in the Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult Gerontological Nurse Practitioner Programs:
• Faculty with expertise in the following specialty areas:
o Board certified Family Nurse Practitioner
o Board certified Adult Gerontological Nurse Practitioner
o Board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner specialty experience in pediatrics
o Experience in Health Policy
o Experience in Research
• Required Qualifications
o Earned doctorate (EdD, PhD, or DNP)
o Minimum 5 years clinical practice experience for FNP, AGNP, or PNP
