Position: The Department of Nursing and Allied Health Professions at Indiana University of Pennsylvania invites applications for one full-time tenure-track appointment beginning August 2019. Candidates will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate courses throughout the curriculum. IUP offers CCNE accredited programs leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing (education and administration tracks). IUP also offers a PhD in Nursing with an emphasis in nursing education. Faculty may have the opportunity to teach in the masters and PhD nursing programs. The successful candidate may be assigned to work at off campus sites and/or provide instruction through distance education. The department seeks candidates whose research, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education.

Qualifications: A doctorate degree (PhD preferred) in nursing or a terminal degree in a related field with a graduate degree in nursing, is required by time of appointment. Candidates must also possess a current USA RN license and eligible for a Pennsylvania nursing license. All candidates must be work eligible. All candidates must communicate effectively and perform well during interview(s), including a teaching demonstration. An established track record of teaching, scholarship, and service is preferred. Current clinical practice is also preferred.

Responsibilities: Candidates will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate courses throughout the curriculum, advise students in the undergraduate program, engage in scholarly work in the field and participate in related university and community services. Faculty may have the opportunity to teach in the masters and PhD nursing programs.
