Position Information
- The Vice President of Patient Care Services will be responsible for the overall direction of nursing services including critical care, surgery, emergency and trauma services.
- Will have the assistance of 9 direct reports and approximately 600 FTEs.
- Reports to the hospital President.
- Qualified candidates will be master’s prepared nursing professionals with previous experience overseeing multiple departments.
- Candidates will have high integrity, strong communication and relationship building skills, as well as a focus on quality patient care and outcomes.

- Detroit Receiving Hospital (DRH) is a 320-bed, Joint Commission accredited, academic, adult tertiary care facility that specializes in trauma, critical care, and emergency medicine and is the only recorded hospital in the country that is devoted to these specialties.
- DRH is affiliated with Wayne State University and together host the annual Detroit Trauma Symposium which addresses the continuum of care and is the largest event of its kind in America.
- DRH is a member of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) system which is the leading academically integrated system in the area and the largest health care provider in southeast Michigan. DMC operates more than 2,000 beds in 9 facilities.
