The School of Nursing is looking for a motivated nurse educator who not only desires to teach, but also desires to serve in an administrative capacity as Coordinator of the Undergraduate (pre-licensure) Program. This is an 11-month faculty position with a workload consisting of approximately 50-70% teaching and scholarly activity and service with approximately 30-50% devoted to the daily operation of the Undergraduate (Pre-Licensure) program. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the undergraduate clinical coordinator. The Undergraduate Program Coordinator reports to the Chair of the Undergraduate program.

Appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate rank, commensurate with experience in teaching and scholarly activity and service, in either the Tenure Track or Clinical Track position.

This position will afford you the opportunity to:

• Teach in area of expertise in compliance with the School of Nursing Workload Policy.
• Participate in local and national activities promoting personal and professional educational growth funded by the School.
• Pursue scholarly activities as appropriate.
• Participate in academic and professional mentoring of students.
• Participate in Program, School, College, and University committees and activities.
• Apply appropriate policies and regulations within the University, College, and School.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others within the University, the community, and clinical agencies.
• Maintain clinical expertise for teaching nursing.
• Maintain a professional appearance on campus and in the clinical area.
• Apply appropriate teaching methods supported by evidence.
• Provide input to the Chair in the development and implementation of the Undergraduate Program.
• Work with the Chair to assure Program compliance with IBON and ACEN/CCNE and other Program specific professional standards.
• Participate with the Chair in the orientation, mentoring, and evaluation of full-time, part-time and adjunct faculty.

For tenure track position:
At a minimum, you should have
• Doctorate in nursing or related field.
• Teaching experience at an accredited university.
• Two years' experience using simulation in research, practice, or teaching.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Idaho by starting date of employment.
• Competence in Medical-Surgical nursing.

For clinical track position:
At a minimum, you should have
• Master's in Nursing.
• Teaching experience at an accredited university.
• Two years' experience using simulation in research, practice, or teaching.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Idaho by starting date of employment.
• Competence in Medical-Surgical nursing.

Preferentially, you will have:
• DNP or Doctorate in nursing or related field.
