POSITION DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS
Heartland Community College invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in the College’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program to begin Fall 2013. Along with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or a Practical Nursing Certificate, the Nursing Assistant Certificate is one option offered to students enrolled in Heartland’s Nursing program. This position will teach in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
 
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Other requirements include successful completion of a CNA Instructor course and a minimum 3 years’ related work experience with at least 1 year of long-term care experience. Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in a CNA program is desired.

Since its founding in 1991, Heartland Community College has been dedicated to providing access to higher education and excellence in teaching and learning for residents of Central Illinois. The College has experienced considerable growth in the past two decades, with more than 5,600 credit students and approximately 20,000 community members engaged in a diverse range of continuing education offerings each year.
