FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION: NURSING INSTRUCTOR: (Division of Health Professions, Associate Degree Option) (MCCC/MTA Unit Position) Anticipated start date:  January 2015.

Teach classroom, laboratory and clinical courses in
Foundations and Medical-Surgical Nursing in the Associate Degree Option.
Participate in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation and revision
using defined program outcomes. Maintain office hours and advise students.  Participate in College Services Activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Nursing required. At least five years full time experience in clinical nursing required.  Must have demonstrated currency in professional discipline through continuing education, professional development or scholarly activity. Demonstrated ability to teach within, and contribute positively to a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population and campus environment required. Knowledge of curriculum development, implementation and evaluation; including evidence of competence in employing instructional methods and techniques appropriate to different student learning styles required. Demonstrated ability to work collegially as a leader and as a team member required.

PREFERENCES: Previous teaching experience in associate degree education and teaching experience in a community college setting is preferred.


Salary:
Anticipated starting salary range is $42,491.00 – $67,738.00 per academic year; complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary will be determined in accordance with classification determination of MCCC/MTA salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.

PART-TIME CLINICAL (MEDICAL/SURGICAL NURSING) INSTRUCTOR (Days): (Practical Nursing Option in Nursing Program) (Division of Health Professions) (Part-Time Day MCCC/MTA Unit Position) Anticipated start date: January 20, 2015) 

Clinical instruction and evaluation of practical nursing students.

Clinical: 15 hours/week, (Thursday/Friday days)

Master’s Degree in Nursing is required for clinical teaching and current Massachusetts Registered Nursing License in good standing. A Minimum of three years full-time experience with evidence of clinical competence in the area of medical-surgical is required. Previous teaching experience in nursing education preferred, with currency in teaching/learning theory and techniques of a diverse student population. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and knowledge of nursing curriculum design is preferred.

Salary: $59.20 per contact hour, nursing part-time day faculty contract.

Clinical: 15 hours/week, (Monday/Tuesday evenings, 3:00 – 11:00 PM)

Previous teaching experience in nursing education preferred, with currency in teaching/learning theory and techniques of a diverse student population. Salary: $71.67 per contact hour, MCCC/MTA DCE Unit Contract
