Job Overview

The College of St. Scholastica seeks a qualified nursing professional for a full-time faculty position in the post-baccalaureate nursing program; rank and tenure status commensurate with qualifications, start date August 2015. This is a full-time, nine-month faculty position with teaching spread across three semesters. Area of need is Medical/Surgical.

Faculty responsibilities include teaching of clinical, lab, and online medical-surgical nursing courses in the post-baccalaureate nursing program along with academic advising. Professional activity and college and community service also a requirement. Teaching and professional experience preferred. Will contribute to and participate in fostering a culture of inclusion in support of College diversity goals.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nursing (DNP or PhD preferred or ability to complete DNP or PhD within five years of hire); experience with curriculum development and teaching (clinical, lab and online). Demonstrated cross-cultural communications skills and competency; competence in working with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference given to candidates with complex medical-surgical nursing background and simulation experience. Candidates need to be able to teach specialty content as well as generalist content in a holistic integrated curriculum; DNP or PhD preferred, or ability to complete DNP or PhD within five years of hire.
