Gannon University’s Villa Maria School of Nursing (VMSON) invites applications for a nine-month tenure track faculty to begin January 2015. Responsibilities include teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Educational preparation at the Ph.D. level with a minimum of a master’s degree with a major in nursing is required; an earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related field (Ph.D., DNSc, or Ed.D.) and recent clinical and teaching experience in a program of higher education are preferred. A DNP and Ph.D. will be highly considered. Candidates must be eligible for Pennsylvania licensure. The VMSON is the first collegiate nursing program in NW Pennsylvania offering undergraduate and graduate programs. The undergraduate program offers a community-based curriculum consistently yielding over 95 percent first-time pass rate on the NCLEX-RN. The graduate program (MSN) offers options in Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Anesthesia and Nursing Administration. Also offered is an on-line post-master’s DNP program.

Ideally, candidates will have experience using course management systems for purposes of instruction and advising.
