This position will serve as the Single Point of Contact for all member inquiries. This position is responsible for educating members on health care programs to address their personal health needs, engaging the member in discussion of adherence to personal health plans, responding to managed care inquiries from members, and supporting the clinicians in the Medical Management department with their provider and member activities. Collaborate with providers, families, and patients to ensure member’s and provider’s needs are met. Provide guidance to members when determining what products best suit their needs. Assist members in assessing tools and decision-making around complex health issues, e.g. coordinate effective medical management. Spend approximately 90percent of the scheduled time on the phone according to business need.

*Bachelor of Social Work, LVN/LPN, or 4 years of experience in the healthcare industry
*Knowledge of medical terminology
*Experience coordinating member medical related needs, providing assistance to members, and analyzing member needs
*PC proficiency including Microsoft Office applications
*Customer service skills
*Verbal and written communications skills including developing written correspondence to members and to other department personnel and coaching skills, including motivational interviewing, to educate members on medical issues

*At least 1 year of experience in managed care
*Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
