Department of Nursing, Slippery Rock University

The Slippery Rock University Nursing department invites applications for a tenure track faculty member beginning August 2017. Teaching responsibilities will be primarily in the online RN to BSN completion program. The successful candidate will also advise students, assist with departmental curriculum and course development, program review & assessment, and serve on departmental and college committees.

Minimum Qualifications:
A PhD in Nursing, EdD, or related discipline. Terminal doctoral degree must be completed by date of hire. Current Pennsylvania RN license or eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure and a masters degree in Nursing. Commitment to the education of diverse populations. Successful performance in an on-campus interview, including teaching demonstration.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a Nurse Educator. Proficiency with distance education. Area of interest may include public/community health and/or health information systems and/or school nursing.
