Job Overview

The Curry College Division of Nursing in Milton, MA is pleased to invite applications for a full-time Pediatric faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. This full-time 9 month academic year position will commence with the 2013 Fall semester.
The Division of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and offers educational programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels for a diverse population of about 900 students. The nursing programs at Curry College have earned a solid reputation for academic and clinical excellence. Options include: a traditional pre-licensure four (4) year program, an accelerated second degree program, an RN to BSN program, and an MSN/CNL program which prepares graduates for the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) national certification examination. Across all programs, the central curriculum concepts are based on the six Quality and Safety in Nursing Education (QSEN) core competencies: Patient-centered care, Teamwork and collaboration, Evidence-based practice, Quality improvement, Safety, and Informatics.
Responsibilities include: a 12-hour teaching load per semester consisting of didactic and/or clinical courses in pediatric nursing. Student advising, active engagement in nursing scholarship, and participation in service to the college and campus community is expected. Other teaching duties may involve the candidate’s related areas of expertise, such as pathophysiology. The successful candidate is expected to teach across all program offerings.
  • Doctoral degree in nursing with a defined program of research preferred; master’s degree in nursing with expertise in clinical specialty area and enrollment in doctoral program will be considered.
  • An unrestricted Massachusetts RN license
  • Previous baccalaureate level teaching experience
