Job Overview

The College of Nursing at the University of Cincinnati is seeking to fill the Jane E. Procter Chair of Nursing. The endowed chair was established in 1948 by Jane E. Procter and renamed in 1967 in her honor.


An established program of research in public health or with application to public health and evidence of sustained, substantial external funding.
Earned research doctorate in nursing.
Teaching experience in higher education at the graduate level.
Eligible for rank of Associate Professor or Professor.

The College has close and long-standing ties to the Cincinnati VA Medical Center and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, consistently ranked one of the top ten pediatric hospitals in the country.

The College is highly committed to excellence in teaching and research. The BS and MS nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The MS and Doctorate of Nursing Practice programs focus on variety of Advanced Nursing areas. The MSN online program is ranked #6 by U.S. News & World Report.


Job Description: On a full-time basis Faculty Members principal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating and reporting knowledge.
