The University of Houston-Victoria School of Nursing seeks a qualified applicant with expertise in medical/surgical nursing, community health or psychiatric nursing and simulation experience for a Tenure or Clinical Track position beginning August 19, 2013.
Faculty responsibilities include: ongoing curriculum development and evaluation; classroom and clinical instruction using on-site, simulation, and distance education strategies in the undergraduate and graduate programs; some travel; participation in school and university committees; engaging in scholarship, service and academic advising.
- Doctorate or substantial progress toward doctorate in nursing or related field preferred. Master’s degree in nursing required.
- Candidate must possess or be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in Texas.
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
- Excellent clinical and communication skills.
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Specialty certification.
The School of Nursing is proud of its excellent Second Degree BSN, RN-BSN and MSN academic programs, innovative hybrid-online education, simulation laboratory, and supportive student environment for both face-to-face and distance learning.
