The College of Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications and nominations for one (1) tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Community Nursing for the academic year 2013-2014.
The College of Nursing admitted students to a new PhD program in Nursing in the fall 2008. The PhD program characteristics include a unique focus on the advancement of nursing science in the care of people with chronic illness. In addition, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program was recently approved with students being admitted in fall 2011.
- The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate in Nursing, or related field and must be eligible for RN licensure in Massachusetts.
- Candidates must have a successful record of teaching in an area of expertise with a program of research and the ability to sustain a program of funded research, secure external funding, and participate in community outreach.
- Previous teaching and administrative experience.
Salary will be highly competitive and an appointment with tenure is possible depending on qualifications, experience, and evidence of scholarly endeavors.
