Job Overview

Frederick Community College was recently named the 24th fastest growing community college in the nation for its size.  We are always looking for outstanding, dynamic and talented professionals to join our workforce.  We are actively seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor, Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.  This is full-time, 10-month faculty assignment.

 The full time faculty member in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing will be the NU 214 course coordinator in both the RN day and RN evening/weekend option and will instruct in the classroom and clinical setting.

 In the fall, the faculty member will lecture in the classroom on Monday and will be assigned a clinical group either on Tuesday and Wednesday or Thursday and Friday during the day-time.

In the spring, the faculty member will lecture in the classroom on Thursday evenings and will be assigned a clinical group on Saturday and Sunday days. 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Nursing by time of hire. Minimum of two years of clinical experience on an inpatient psychiatric unit required.  Experience teaching at the college level and/or adult populations highly desired.
