Job Description:
The Millikin University School of Nursing invites applications for a dynamic faculty leader to help implement the new Master’s Entry into Nursing Practice (MENP) Program. This is a tenure track position with initial rank commensurate with educational preparation and professional experience. The successful candidate will have strong theory and clinical teaching ability. Teaching experience at the Master’s level is preferred.
Qualifications: The candidate must hold an earned doctorate (or be near completion of the doctoral degree) and a Master’s Degree in nursing. In addition, the candidate must have superior communication skills, demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities, and strong evidence of understanding current issues and trends in professional practice. A strong background in medical-surgical nursing is preferred. Candidates must have the potential for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and university service. Candidates must hold or obtain nursing licensure in the state of Illinois. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
The School of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education with an enrollment of 260 students. Known for teaching excellence, the School of Nursing supports dynamic and creative individuals interested in being a part of a growing program in an institution committed to professional education within a liberal education environment. The successful candidate will join our knowledgeable, committed faculty team in the provision of the curricula of our BSN, RN-BSN, MSN and MENP Programs.
