Job Overview


We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Adjunct Professor
Qualifications – Minimum Criteria
Current RN license or eligible for licensure in the State of California.
A doctorate degree in nursing or related field must be earned prior to appointment
At least 5 years of experience in acute care nursing
Experience in teaching ECG coursework and ability to mentor graduate students
Qualifications – Preferred Criteria
Must have expertise in analyzing 12-lead EKG data, especially measurement of the QT interval, ST-T wave abnormalities, and conduction blocks. Expertise in statistical analysis and ability to work with biostatisticians to analyze the study aims.  The incumbent will prepare research abstracts, presentations and articles for publication. Proven scholarship with published research abstracts or articles in cardiac or critical care related journals is preferred.
Primary Areas of Responsibility
The faculty member will teach an ECG course to gradate nursing students and will be available to mentor them and assist them in pursing or developing a research career. Faculty will serve as Co-Investigator on a large research study involving over 36,000 ECG’s and is responsible for the daily operation of the study and collaborates with and reports to the Principal Investigator.
This position collaborates with other investigators and shares data and findings as appropriate. Faculty should have sharp technical skills that will allow them to setup and maintain an ECG home monitoring system.
