ADJUNCT CLINICAL FACULTY (Part-time)

With campuses in Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco and San Mateo, SMC School of Nursing graduates the largest number of license-eligible students in California. The school’s expanding nursing programs include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a 12-month Accelerated BSN, and an Entry-level Master’s.

All campuses are seeking Part-time Clinical Faculty to teach in a variety of disciplines, including Pediatrics, Maternity, Medical-Surgical, Critical Care, Community and Mental Health Nursing. As a clinical faculty, you will teach in hospital or clinical settings assisting students to integrate nursing theory and practice. These positions are ideal for working nurses.

Qualifications for Adjunct Clinical Faculty

BSN in Nursing (Master’s preferred)
Demonstrated current competence in the clinical area
Effective leadership and communication skills
Past experience in clinical teaching position preferred

Compensation is competitive. (Note also that Kaiser nurses are eligible to retain their Kaiser pay and benefits while teaching for Samuel Merritt College).
